George Bush Intercontinental Airport has been voted a “Trazee Winner,” as a Top 5 Airport (North America) for Millennials, according to Trazee Travel, an online publication targeting millennials.

Trazee Travel, a web and print publication created by Global Traveler’s parent company FXExpress Publications, Inc., targets the sought-after under-35 market. It presents reviews, tips and insights into destinations around the world, covering the entire span of a journey (including airports) “to keep young, intrepid travelers informed.”

What is special about Bush Airport for millennial travelers? Choice, choice and more choice. Its Free Wi-Fi, rated seconde-fastest in the U.S., and mobile-responsive website are especially well-suited for digital natives. And Bush Airport is adding power outlets for mobile device charging throughout the airport, most recently adding 360 outlets in Terminal A dining areas.

Bush Airport offers destination choices, in abundance. Millennials are more interested in international travel, constituting 20 percent of international tourists (per a UN study), and Bush Airport offers 71 non-stop international destinations (24 in Mexico, 10 in Central America, 8 in South America, 7 in Europe, 5 in Canada, 10 in the Caribbean, 2 in the Middle East, 4 in Asia, and last but not least, Auckland, New Zealand). In total, Bush Airport offers 183 non-stop destinations spanning 5 continents.

Millennials also appreciate Bush Airport’s abundant low-cost carriers, which include Frontier, Interjet, Spirit, Texas Sky, Vacation Express, Viva Aerobus, Volaris and WestJet, in addition to the great connectivity of its hub carrier United Airlines and its 15 foreign flag carriers. Millennials can choose from 29 carriers total at Bush Airport.

Bush Airport boasts millennial-friendly dining, with affordable food choices, vegan and vegetarian food AND local food in all five terminals. Local food establishments include Hubcap Grill, Pink’s Pizza, Pappasito’s, Hugo’s Cocina, and Texas’s beloved Whataburger. There also are no fewer than 13 coffee bars. Check out searchable dining and drinking options, including hours of operation, menus and locations.

The shopping brands millennials prefer are easy to find at Bush Airport, including Kendra Scott jewelry, Jessica McClintock hand bags, Michael Kors watches and Kate Spade desk accessories at Corsa; MAC and Benefit cosmetics; iStore Boutique for the digerati; and of course duty free items for international travelers at ATÜ and Dufry shops. Western wear can be found at Pinto Ranch, college gear at Sports Corner, and women’s clothing and accessories at M.Fredric. Sweet tooths will savor the choices at Dylan’s Candy Bar and Hershey’s.

Bush Airport even offers great choices on the ground, with the best value in covered remote parking at its brand-new ecopark2 lot on Will Clayton Parkway ($5.54 plus tax) and affordable ground transportation, including transportation network companies such as Uber and Wingz, and convenient car sharing via Zipcar at its Consolidated Rental Car Center.

Choices abound at Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport — for millennials, and for all travelers.
