On Friday, June 13, Subcontractors USA-Texas celebrated prominent members of the construction community at the 2025 Subcontractors USA Top 25 Primes, Subcontractors, Suppliers, Professional Services, and Suppliers Diversity Champions Awards, Luncheon, & Mini Expo. The Junior League of Houston had every room filled with different business representatives meeting one another, making meaningful connections, and most importantly, doing business together. Subcontractors USA President Mr. D-Mars got the blood flowing early into the event with his patented Vendor Line — akin to the Soul Train line, but reps went down the tunnel of excited onlookers announcing who they were, what they did, and why you should do business with them (all while showing off their best moves).

What then followed was a series of mini sessions that were incredibly informative and interactive; an elegant lunch; a thought-provoking panel with esteemed leaders in construction; and of course, the coveted award ceremony that celebrates all the innovative and generous members of our society that keep it moving forward and ensure everyone is included. All-in-all, it was a successful event that left everyone feeling better connected and eager to see what is next.

For this event to be small at first, it sure does have a TEXAS size volume to all that participate and attend. I appreciate Mr. D-Mars and Subcontractors USA for the laughter, enjoyment, and knowledge that is presented by all and the exceptional expanding of the horizons for everyone that happens to be there. This event does not miss a beat.  This is the third year in a row that I have attended and brought someone with me to experience it. You bring SHSU to the table to share the processes we have as a higher ed agency, and for that I do appreciate very much. Great job Subcontractors USA on a job well done. -Cindy Tate Guajardo, HUB Coordinator & P-Card Administrator, Sam Houston State University

I really enjoyed being part of the Subcontractors USA Lunch as a sponsor with LP Building Solutions. It was great connecting with so many passionate people in the industry and hearing different perspectives. Events like this remind me how important it is to build strong relationships across all parts of the construction world. We’re proud to support gatherings that bring people together and help move the industry forward.
