DFW Airport Schedules Temporary Road Closures and International Parkway Lane Reduction Due to Construction

Starting Saturday, Jan. 25 through Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is implementing temporary road closures and lane reductions at various locations and times due to construction.

According to DFW Airport, the work zones will primarily impact southbound traffic with one of the most significant impacts expected to be an overnight-to-midday lane reduction on South International Parkway from Tuesday evening into Wednesday afternoon. During that time, drivers are encouraged to arrive at DFW from the south. For other closures, detours will be in place to support traffic movement.

The construction activity will reportedly support the placement of structural beams for the future bridge access into Terminal B as part of the ongoing work to transform access to Terminals A, B and C to right-hand exits.

“This grouping of closures has been strategically phased with project partners and airport stakeholders to take place during timeframes with the least impact to customers,” a news release stated.

Below is a list of closure dates, times and locations:

International Parkway is the airport’s main throughfare providing customers access to all terminals via Entry and Exit Plazas, while DFW’s adjacent Service Roads provide throughfare and access to facilities outside of the central terminal area.
