This year, the annual HUB EXPO and “Doing Business Texas Style” Spot Bid Fair is virtual! The HUB Expo will provide education presentations, and the Spot Bid Fair will offer state agency and state university procurement opportunities for Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) that can supply the goods and provide the services for state procurement needs. The Comptroller’s Statewide Procurement Division (SPD) has granted state entities an exemption from purchasing items from SPD for one-time purchases related to the virtual “Doing Business Texas Style” Spot Bid Fair. The exempted procurements will be based on a best-value determination. Register now for these events: Aug. 3: Morning classes will include topics such as mastering the CMBL, writing winning proposals and more. The spot bid fair will begin in the afternoon.
