San Antonio’s Bazan Branch Library Reopens Following Roof Construction

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Public Libraryโ€™s (SAPL) Bazan Branch reopened at noon on June 10 after a total replacement of the libraryโ€™s metal roof system and downspouts.

Bazan Branch, located at 2200 W. Commerce St., closed on April 29 for scheduled maintenance to repair the hail-damaged roof. The reopening signaled a return to regular service at Bazan. The library is open Monday and Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m. and Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. โ€“ 6 p.m.

Summer with SAPL is in full swing, and Bazan Branch has a host of programs and activities starting immediately. For a full list of upcoming events and programs at Bazan Branch,ย visit the libraryโ€™s website.

Located on the cityโ€™s west side near downtown, Bazan Branch Library originally opened in 1977. The location was named after Isabel G. Bazan, a former librarian at the San Antonio Public Library.
