Texas A&M University System (TAMUS) has chosen Houston-based project management consulting firm, Taylor Construction Management (TCM), for a competitive Project Management Support Services (PMSS) contract. TAMUS uses these services to augment their Facilities Planning and Construction (FP&C) department as they manage capital improvement projects across their 11-system universities in Texas.

TCM has been selected multiple times as a value-added solution to provide project management and construction code inspection services on projects ranging from sports complexes and administrative support buildings to dental and nursing schools. Recently, TAMUS released a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to add master agreement for PMSS and, for the third consecutive time over a 5-year period, TCM was chosen as a valued resource.

โ€œIn just six years, my husband and I have developed Taylor Construction Management into an award-winning global firm by making customer service a top priority,โ€ said Kelley Taylor, TCM Founding Partner and CEO. โ€œReceiving the distinction of a third contract with TAMUS further cements our drive to break down barriers as minority entrepreneurs in this industry and execute every project to perfection.โ€

On average, the capital improvement budget has ranged from $1B to upwards of $3B. The contract is open-ended so there is no established budget or project scope. TAMUS has the right to add scope to the blanket contract to augment FP&C on any capital improvement project throughout their network.

โ€œTaylor Construction Management has been an invaluable asset as they continue to provide project management services in College Station, Stephenville and various locations in North Texas,โ€ said Russ Wallace, Executive Director for TAMUS FP&C. โ€œWeโ€™ve renewed this partnership again and again because of the elevated level of service we experience while collaborating with Kelley and Troi Taylor, as well as the ethics, dedication, innovation and industry knowledge they continue to put forth.โ€

Since their start-up days, TCM has been recognized for their commitment to philanthropy, professional development, and rapid year over year revenue growth. Their PMSS contract with the Texas A&M University System will enable them to once again demonstrate their planning, design and construction expertise on a large scale.
